As the days grow shorter and Christmas fast approaches, our studio takes on a special kind of energy.
The pencils are still moving, the inks still flowing, and the walls are alive with colour, but at this time of year, there’s an extra layer of magic. Christmas has a way of transforming our hand-drawn designs, and one of our favourite moments of the season is seeing our wallpapers styled with festive decorations.
What makes Christmas décor truly special isn’t how much you add, but how the things you choose work together to create a feeling. Our wallpapers are designed with that philosophy in mind. Each motif begins as a hand-drawn sketch, created slowly and intentionally, so it fits just as perfectly at Christmas. Whether it’s a delicate botanical, a flowing pattern, or a design inspired by the natural textures we find on our morning walks along the Thames, our patterns are made to complement seasonal décor without ever overwhelming it.
Sustainability is at the heart of our process, and Christmas is the perfect time to celebrate it. As households look for ways to decorate more consciously, choosing long-lasting pieces, natural materials, and meaningful objects, our wallpapers offer a foundation that supports mindful living. Printed to order to reduce waste, crafted with eco-friendly inks, and made using responsibly sourced materials, each roll is produced with care in our small London workshop. It’s a slower approach to design, one that mirrors the slower, more intentional moments the festive season invites.
This year, we’ve loved seeing how customers weave our designs into their holiday decorating. A sprig of fresh pine looks striking against a deep green botanical repeat. Brass and copper ornaments glow a little warmer beside soft, hand-inked linework. And even the simplest decoration, like a single wreath, a cluster of candles or a bowl of winter citrus, takes on new life when set against our designs.
We’ve even been getting crafty at Curate Space headquarters and using our wallpaper offcuts to create beautiful Christmas stars and sustainable decorations. We were so pleased with the result, and even the littlest member of Curate Space got involved.

As you prepare your home for the season, consider choosing décor that doesn’t simply fill a space but elevates it. A thoughtfully chosen wallpaper can anchor your Christmas aesthetic, guide your colour palette, and create a cosy atmosphere that lasts long beyond December. When the decorations come down and the new year begins, your walls remain a testament to artistic creativity and sustainable design.
From all of us in the studio, we wish you a warm, joyful, beautifully decorated Christmas, one filled with handmade touches, meaningful moments, and spaces that feel like home.
